I got in to Phoenix Friday afternoon and met up with my friend Ryan who had gotten us a room at the Super 8 in Tempe, home of Arizona State University. The motel isn't too shabby and is a block from the ASU Campus and a liquor store. After stocking up on supplies we met up with some friends before heading out. We went to Mill Ave. in Tempe which is the main strip of bars near campus. School wasn't even in session but it was packed everywhere.
There is a 2 hour period between 3 and 5 AM that we have no recollection of. Around 5:30 AM we did run across a trio who's car had broken down and after having them pledge their allegiance to the Ducks we invited them up for some drinks and kept the party going until about 8 AM. I do remember stumbling down to continental breakfast and falling down in front of the motel staff.
